• Hey Dave, Recalling that staff meeting you and I attended with Capt. Norton, with introduction at the beginning of it going around the table, and still chuckling recalling your own intro, “hi, my name is David and I’m an alcoholic”, I want to thank you for your sense of humor (I think often tinted with a bit of sarcasm) that made so many of us smile and lighten up a bit. This gift you’ve been given and your deep faith, which you let out of the bag a few times, will carry you through the good Lord’s will to ‘purify, as gold in fire, those whom He loves’. Joyfully trusting in His will and gratefully accepting it, knowing that this challenge serves to draw you closer to Himself, is the best response to please Him. (I’m not saying that the full advantage of medical aid should not be pursued). I once read something that Jesus said to one of His close followers: I invite you to walk the rest of your journey side by side with Me, at the same pace, intimately united to Me and you joyfully singing your marching song of doing My will. To ask the Lord to give us the grace to respond to His invitation  with a full commitment of our will, a deep desire and with all the love of our heart, is a response that will help any of us to cross any bridge we encounter. Know He is by your side, smiling, offering all the light and strength you need to walk this path in complete peace.
